Last week, the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA) recognised the achievements of over 1,700 learners, during an in-person celebration event at Salford Royal. The event brought together individuals from across a variety of NCA programmes, including Apprenticeships, Care Certificate, T Levels, Pre-employment, and Supported Internships to celebrate their hard work and efforts over the past 12 months.
Colleagues across the NCA were also in attendance and recognised for their support in contributing to a learner’s success – whether that be facilitating a placement or attending local school/ college or community engagement events.
During the day, past learners took to the stage to share their personal learning journey and experiences joining the Trust.
Laura Brooker completed a Nursing Associate apprenticeship with Salford University and said: "During my apprenticeship, I experienced a lot of self-doubt, but I was fortunate enough to have brilliant support from my university tutors and placement facilitators. I have built a lot of resilience because of this experience. I feel more confident to say no to things that are outside of my scope of practice and feel happier about where I am in my career. I thank the NCA for helping to shape my future."
Certificates were awarded to commemorate achievements over the past year, and to provide a keepsake to look back on as the learners progress their healthcare careers.
Victoria Reynolds, Widening Participation Manager said: ‘Recognising our learners' achievements and drawing attention to the programmes that promote social values and create employment opportunities in our local community is hugely important. This event is testament to the efforts of all involved in facilitating a learner at the NCA, and we look forward to coordinating more celebration events in future.’
Congratulations to everyone who has completed a recent course and programme at the NCA. We wish you the very best for the future.
