The place to support your local community
Our volunteers play a vital role in our services and are celebrated members of the NCA.
We are committed to providing volunteering opportunities for people who are passionate about giving back to their local community. Through volunteering you can challenge yourself to try something different, achieve personal goals, meet new people, and discover hidden talents.
We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities available across all of our hospital sites as well as our community services.
Volunteering opportunities include:
- Dining Companions – providing support to patients on the ward at mealtimes
- Meet and Greet / Way-finding – assisting patients and visitors around the hospital
- Bleep / Responder volunteer – responding to tasks in a timely manner from identified departments
- A&E support – an extra pair of hands to a busy department, which may include supporting patients and providing refreshments
