Colleagues in the Recruitment team are celebrating after being shortlisted for a prestigious Nursing Times Workforce and Summit Award.
The team have been shortlisted in the ‘Best Recruitment Experience’ category for their approach to recruiting and onboarding nurses and reducing the Band 5 nursing vacancy rate across the Northern Care Alliance to below 1%.
A staggering 500 entries have been received for this year’s Awards, with 166 projects and individuals reaching the final shortlist.
Caroline Gee, nursing and midwifery resourcing lead said:
“It’s incredibly rewarding to see our team's ongoing hard work recognised at a national level. I’m extremely proud of the whole Recruitment team. Their collaborative and tenacious approach has reduced our nursing vacancy rate for band 5 to 8a from over 13% in August 2022 to just 1.4% in March 2024, as well as simultaneously improving on our time to hire and customer service."
"Making the shortlist for 'Best Recruitment Experience' demonstrates that our vision of providing the best experience for candidates and hiring managers is becoming a reality and making a meaningful impact for both our current and future colleagues.”
The selected winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London on Thursday 28 November, 2024.
